The Internet of Things (IoT) enables a variety smart applications, including home, manufacturing, and city. By enhancing Business Process Management Systems with IoT capabilities, the execution monitoring business processes can be significantly improved. Providing holistic support for modeling, executing IoT-driven processes, however, constitutes challenge. Existing process modeling languages, such as BPMN 2.0, are unable to fully meet characteristics (e.g., asynchronicity parallelism) processes.
